• 1 cup no-salt added vegetable broth

• ¼ cup balsamic or apple cider vinegar

• 2 tbsp low-sodium tamari

• 2 tbsp molasses or maple syrup

• 1 tbsp smoked paprika

• 2 tsp ground cumin

• 3 tsp mustard powder

• 1 tsp ground coriander powder

• 2 tbsp garlic powder

• 1 tbsp onion powder

• ¾ tsp liquid smoke

• pinch ground cloves

Servings and Toppings

• 8 whole wheat hot dog buns

• ½ cup red onion, diced fine

• ½ cup yellow mustard or hot mustard

• ½ cup cherry ketchup (see Note) or regular ketchup

• ½ cup sweet relish
